Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is one of the world's top natural attractions. Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. You can get to the south rim of the Grand Canyon by car or as part of an exciting rail adventure.  Those who have not had a chance to visit Grand Canyon need to plan a visit.  The Grand Canyon is more than a mile deep and the exposed rock landscape is amazing.  I had never seen anything like this.  I think that it is one of the best rock landscapes in the world.  Sunrises and Sunsets are stunning.  I said this is one of the exceptional wonders of the world.

The Grand Canyon is powerful and inspiring. The rock formations overwhelm your senses through their sizes.  It’s a combination of geologic colors and forms.  It’s amazing!!!

Winter at Grand Canyon is a magical time because it is not very crowded.  It is also a time of unexpected weather changes, slick icy trails and less Ranger visibility.  My thick sweater was not enough and I had to wear another jacket and I still was not warm enough. You need to pack for all weather and choose activities that are safe for the time of year that you visit.  Selecting a place to stay at the Grand Canyon for a special winter vacation can make for the best time possible. January was not too bad and there was a lot of snow, but I enjoyed it because it was my first time to see and touch real snow and I liked seeing the deer too.  

The true magnificence of the Grand Canyon takes all visitors by surprise.  I was very surprised because I didn’t have any idea of how beautiful is this area.  My husband told me that he was there a few times and told me how pretty the area is, but I didn’t have any idea until I saw its landscapes.  You can see like the earth has opened to allow a glimpse of the secrets that lie at its greatest depths.  The depth and color of the rock formations are so amazing. It is a true wonder of the world.

Driving time from Las Vegas, Nevada to the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park is about 4 hours.  It’s worth driving because the view and its landscapes are amazing.  The sunset from the rim looking down is amazing.  Everything turned out really good.  They said some of the areas are closed because of the snow, which includes the north rim of the Grand Canyon. However, we did see almost everything we wanted to see.  The food was good and the people working there were nice
