They say that travelling the Central Coast of California is not complete without stopping by Morro Bay and the Museum of Natural History in Morro Bay State Park. We visited the museum that offers activities for all ages: nature walks, exhibits, lectures, puppet shows, videos, docent led tours and special events. Morro Bay is a busy harbor and has an active fishing industry. It’s known as the place in San Luis Obispo County to savor local seafood, including local oysters and fresh salmon. We enjoyed some of the outstanding food and wines from surrounding farms and vineyards that were served with flair at several of Morro Bay’s renowned harbor-view restaurants. The Morro Bay area has a very friendly, laid-back style that provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
