Sequoia National Park
is the home of the world’s largest trees. The General Sherman Tree is the
largest and measures 275 feet high and it is still growing. The General Sherman Tree is believed to be
some-where in the neighborhood of 2,000 years old.
There's something magical about awakening in Sequoia National Park, surrounded by groves of the world's
largest living things. There are no big trees like this in the
Philippines. I was so amazed of how big
and straight these trees grow. The Giant Sequoias as they are called are
enormous Sierra Nevada redwood trees that only grow in a very limited area of
the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. You too will be amazed to see these
big, tall and beautiful trees. I am so glad my husband took me there and I
enjoyed walking among and looking at these giant trees.
That was the end of our long trip after I first arrived here
in the US. I will be writing my second
book for my next long trip around the US.
I thank my husband for taking me around the US when I first got here and
also for all the other trips that we have taken since that time.
